The purpose of this study was to investigate the dietary life and the nutritional status of 104 nurses¢¥ college students living in the dormitory of Chonnam medical school.

1. The average nutritional supply of the energy of a student per day approximated to
2,000 Kcal which was the average nutritional requirement of the energy of a student per day. Most of calorie supply (70 %) was taken from the staples.
2. The nutritional supply per day was sufficient, but the nutritional intake was insufficient. 56.7 % of students answered that such a insufficient intake was due to the insufficiency of side dishes.
3. As the breakfast, 34.6 % of students emptied the dishes. While 65.4 % of students didn¢¥t empty the dishes, so their nutritional intake taken from the breakfast wasn¢¥t sufficient.
4. The reason of a good appetite was the hungry feeling (51.0 %) or the nature of side dishes (27.0 %). Before the breakfast, 60.6 % of students felt hungry. The dietary life such that only small percent of students (34.6 %) emptied the dishes affected the nutritional intake, so the breakfast menu must be taken into consideration.
